Description: This is the first of a series of short videos illustrating various aspects of Australian Rules Football. A player can legally bump an opponent when the ball is within five metres but the contact must be side on using the hip and shoulder. Head high contact will result in a free kick to the player being bumped. Here we see Fremantle's Dean Solomon legally hip and shoulder Collingwood's Nick Maxwell. It also explains why most Australian's have a poor view of soccer which has players rolling around in agony after light contact.
