Description: This is our homemade forge that we made in order to make our very own knifes for the first time. Inspired by Greenpete's video's here on Youtube, thanks to him we have learnt how to make beautiful knifes from old files. This is part of the process; Using our forge to heat the steel and then quench it in oil to harden the steel for strength.

ashcaw ::: Favorites I admire your enthusiasm; but im not sure I like your terminology/mindset "short heavy bladed weapon" I think of my knife as a tool not a weapon. I hate it when knives are advertised as weapon's or combat knife's, thats just my view, but if your actually using it to hunt/skin animals that dosent bother me at all. snocamo ::: Favorites I like your forge. It looks portable and effective. I'll have to try to make a heavy bladed knife from a lawn mower blade.
