It is just "nerdy music," such as Weird-Al has done, and it was also named by Frontalot, something that Weird Al neglected to do. Whether or not Weird Al retroatively deserves the title of nerdcore (I believe most of his music qualifies), it the not in question who invented the Nerdcore "movement" and is the frontman for it.
