The Dayton area is a valuable district. Its represented by Boehner, Representative David Hobson (Republican- Springfield/Lancaster) and Mike Turner (Republican- Dayton/Centerville/Wilmington) cause of the Wright Patterson Air Force Base. A major military base in Dayton. He was formerly the House Majority Leader of Congress until 2007. In 2007, he relinquished his powers over to Steny Hoyer (Democrat- St. George's/Annapolis).
