meta474 ::: Favorites Great film, Myles. I'm thru-hiking the PCT myself starting April 08. Blogging about it, too. 07-10-20 18:09:12 __________________________________________________
wwood14 ::: Favorites I'm thinking of trying the Russian Infantry boots at redsoldier dot com.. Not to heavy but not to light..?? Has anyone tried these?? Not to expensive either.. 07-09-05 19:16:13 __________________________________________________
mylesmurphy ::: Favorites We started out wearing tennis shoes with good gel inserts. We had trained in these shoes for 2 months or so.. after about 2 months i changed into light hiking boots, but not the big leather ones. Beware the tennis shoe theory does not work for everyone, We pretty much took all Ray Jardine's advice from the start. although i hated corn pasta. Is the 'PCT Handbook' by him still in publication? Would not have done the PCT if it was not for this book... 07-09-03 01:06:02 __________________________________________________
barleybandito ::: Favorites This is an amazing video. I thru-hiked the AT this past spring, and this video has certainly helped inspire to one day hike the PCT. 07-09-03 00:17:49 __________________________________________________

notedmeese ::: Favorites Hey Myles, I only just discovered this video. Very, very nice. I hiked the PCT in 19 and 97 and ran into you and Dale a few places (Crater Lake, Seiad Valley--two places where you lent me a beer as I recall). Anyway, gimme an email. --Charlie 07-06-26 10:20:22 __________________________________________________
boobookins ::: Favorites The PCT has been my dream for 30 years. But health problems and the troubles of life have not released me. Living in Medford, Oregon I am surrounded by outdoor heaven and the PCT just miles away. And so I get lost with every chance. But when I touch that one trail among so many here my eyes glaze over with tears and longing of this one undone wish. Cheers to everyone who crosses the finish line. 07-06-25 16:41:21 __________________________________________________

nismoT40 ::: Favorites LoL day 3 and they get lost. I think they should have or maybe they did research on foot care/proper boots instead of shoe they not have had that many problems with their legs and feet. I was hoping they would be camping instead of staying in a motel. but i guess it is just a "walk" lol. 07-04-24 01:30:23 __________________________________________________ |
