KurtGnu ::: Favorites Hoping to go to the Norwich Aviation Museum sometime this summer.. They have one there.. Saw them practising landing / take offs at Coltishall a couple of years ago.. outside the airfield.. Not a bad aircraft at all.. Now, maybe there's hope that MY latest video will appear as well, it's only been brewing since before noon today.. :P Great video.. :) And no, I haven't (yet) got a kit.. but would like to build one from Coltishall one day.. :) 07-06-12 15:25:44 _____________________________________________________
KurtGnu ::: Favorites Better clarify.. I was outisde the airfield, they landed inside on the runway.. :) 07-06-12 15:26:53 _____________________________________________________
SmiertSpionem ::: Favorites Yeah only Swedes land jets outside the airfield, on the road etc. Odd country. 07-06-12 20:18:00 _____________________________________________________
KurtGnu ::: Favorites I'd say it's a very clever concept.. :D 07-06-13 04:47:28 _____________________________________________________
SmiertSpionem ::: Favorites I've no idea of its quality or buildability, but theres many an Airfix Jag about model shops/hobbycrafts at the moment(With cool 'The Saint' stickman insignia!). I may well pick one up! Though I admit I've never seen one fly. :*( 07-06-12 20:16:41 _____________________________________________________
KurtGnu ::: Favorites You still have seen far more aircraft in the air than I ever have.. :D My friend in Ipswich is doing the Jaguar at the moment.. it's got the Saint Stickman, but I'm not sure if it's the Airfix kit or not.. when I saw it it was full of filler.. he wasn't overly impressed by the fit.. but he loves these obscure weird kits that hardly ever go together well.. for some reason..:) 07-06-13 04:50:09 _____________________________________________________
SmiertSpionem ::: Favorites Sounds like the airfix to me. I'm not in a rush to buy it though. 07-06-13 07:56:16 _____________________________________________________
KurtGnu ::: Favorites I'm not sure.. it may have been the Airfix decals.. or after market.. but not neccesarily the Airfix kit.. :) 07-06-13 07:58:48 _____________________________________________________
SmiertSpionem ::: Favorites Ah, cunning use of airfix decals on a different plane. As I plane to do to my Italeri IX. 07-06-13 08:12:21 _____________________________________________________
KurtGnu ::: Favorites You're getting to grasp with the finer details of modelling, my friend.. 07-06-13 09:17:09 _____________________________________________________
stevem1976 ::: Favorites Hasegawa have the best Jag models 1:72 check em out.i have the you have the option to make the single seater if you buy the two seat model. 07-07-12 10:41:10 _____________________________________________________
SmiertSpionem ::: Favorites Groovy, problem is I won't be making any jets for a while, not until I have finished my spitfire project. It involves all the main marks. Thanks for the tip. 07-07-12 11:27:07 _____________________________________________________
jakobgrimminger ::: Favorites That second Jag, "07" of 226 OCU brings back memories. I used to work on her back in the 80's at Lossiemouth. I've always had a soft spot for the Jag. Reasonably easy to work on, although it had a few jobs on it that could be an absolute bitch to do! 07-07-05 03:56:17 _____________________________________________________
SmiertSpionem ::: Favorites Are you an RAF technician/mechanic or something? 07-07-05 07:14:35 _____________________________________________________
jakobgrimminger ::: Favorites Yes, Airframes technician. I'm not in the RAF now though 07-07-05 07:54:44 _____________________________________________________
04nunhucks ::: Favorites Did anyone watch it land?I was with the CCF cadets from many contingents. It was awesome! 07-07-12 14:25:16 _____________________________________________________ |
