[Long LONG ago, g] I always liked kaufen and verkaufen (isn't that 'to buy' becomes 'to sell'?) Talk about a change! But seems like ver- did some rather obscure things to some verbs, not as predictable as some of the prefixes. __________________________________________________

It's completely true, but sounds funny. I think it's actually good though. It really does make things easier to understand as opposed to what English does. I wrote it before I got to the second part. You're right about the rant too, it's why spell checkers are so important in English, lol __________________________________________________
